Operation all systems

Normally the system is operated by pressing a button on a remote transmitter. The transmitter will work over some distance (according to location), usually from inside a vehicle. Usually an intercom entry system is also fitted for guests.

Arm operations
Sleek and modern, fit neatly on to the rear face of the gates. Usually about waist height (depending on the gate design). They have the advantage of being easier to fit than the Underground systems, but are slightly more obtrusive. Normally these operations will open the gates through degrees.

Underground operations
The great advantage of the underground system is that when fitted, all that is showing at ground level is the steel lid. The operator is contained within a secure steel foundation box which is concreted into the ground and is therefore very unobtrusive.

Visually the system is very neat and with all the workings underground. Less prone to vandalism. Normally these operations will open the gates through 110 degrees but we can provide a special version that will open up to 180 degrees.

Compass Operators
These operators are very useful for automating gates that have already been installed. Unlike arm actuators, it does not matter if the gates are fitted to the centre of the pillars.

They are simple to install and probably the quickest, with nothing to concrete in, as with underground boxes or tracks for sliding gates. The operator is bolted to the inside of the pillar and a bracket is fitted to the gates. The price of these comes somewhere between the arm activators and underground operators.

Sliding systems
These are very useful where the driver rises up towards the house and the slope would prevent the gates opening or where parking space is limited and a swinging gate would reduce any potential parking space.

The basic equipment is less expensive than the other systems but they take longer to install. Extra safety features need to be fitted to reduce the risk of someone putting their arm through the gate whilst it is being operated.

Access equipment all systems - VIDEX

This stylish system allows conversation between someone at the gate and the householder, who by simply pressing a button can open the gates to allow entry.

Video intercom:
Same as a standard intercom with the addition of a video camera which allows the householder to view any potential guest.

Digital Keypad:
A popular accessory this allows entry for people with the preset numerical code.

GSM Unit:
Self contained audio intercom kits which work on the GSM mobilephone network. These kits allow calls to be made from a door or gate to any telephone anywhere in the world.
